SSC JE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
To be
eligible for SSC JE 2023, candidates must meet the following eligibility
criteria set by the Staff Selection Commission:
SSC JE Citizenship
Candidates must be a citizen of India or fall into one of the
following categories:
· Subject of Nepal/Bhutan
· Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the
intention to settle in India
· Person of Indian origin who migrated from neighboring countries
(Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and East African countries like Kenya, Uganda,
Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention to
settle permanently in India.
SSC JE Age Limit
Candidates
must fulfill the prescribed age limit criteria for the posts offered through
SSC JE 2023 Exam. Please refer to the official notification for detailed

SSC JE paper 2
is a descriptive type of exam. It carries 300 marks and candidates are given 2
hours to solve the paper. The questions asked in this paper are from the
descriptive type of your mechanical engineering branch. This exam is conducted
in offline mode.

SSC JE 2023 Document Verification / Final Selection
Candidates
who qualify in both SSC JE Paper 1 and SSC JE Paper 2 will be required to
undergo document verification. They should be prepared with both soft and hard
copies of the following documents for SSC JE 2023 Document Verification:
· Valid call letter.
· Matriculation/High School/Higher Secondary School/Equivalent
certificates showing the date of birth, issued by a state/central authority.
· Mark sheets of all levels of education, including school and
college.
· Necessary certificates or No Objection Certificate (NOC) for
departmental candidates.
· Photo identification card such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving
license, or bank passbook.
· Caste certificate issued by the competent authority for candidates
belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories. OBC candidates falling under the creamy
layer or whose caste is not listed in the central list should indicate their
category as General.
· Ex-servicemen candidates must provide a copy of the service or
discharge book, along with a pension payment order and proof of rank.
· Disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board, if
applicable.
· Two passport-sized photographs.
