IBPS clerk exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Various banks across the country conduct this exam. CWE is used by all the public sector banks to fill their vacancies. Good study plan is essential for applicants to get through IBPS clerk exam. The blue-print of the exam consists of 190 questions and the total grading of the exams is done out of 200 marks. The total time allotted for applicants attending IBPS clerk exam is 160 minutes. The IBPS clerk exam is divided into 4 sections in total. This is one of the most competitive entrance exams in our country. These sections consists of:
     General /Financial Awareness
     General English

Here are a few tips that are divided section wise to help you perform better -
     General /Financial Awareness - This section does not require the applicant to be thorough with any formulas or rules. The applicants must have good financial and general awareness to perform well in the section. Being up to date with the current affairs of the nation proves to be very helpful in this section. Magazines and newspapers are a good source of information for the students. There are also a few apps that are designed to keep the applicants up to date with current affairs. It is essential that the applicant must not be overconfident in the section. Being well prepared is the key to scoring well in the section.
     General English - General English is one of the easiest ways to score marks in IBPS clerk exam. The applicant needs to be fluent with their grammar and communication  to score well in the section. It is advised that the applicant reads the daily newspapers and magazines and note done a few words and understand their meaning in order to improve their vocabulary. Solving past year question papers is also essential for getting a better understanding of this section.
     Quantitative Aptitude - Questions in quantitative aptitude section of IBPS clerk exam focus more on testing the numerical ability of the students. In order to get good marks in the selection, the applicant must be thorough with the formulas that are used in solving these questions. Knowing the formulas help the applicant in saving time and getting an accurate answer. Solving the past year question papers is one of the best ways to attain more insights into this section.
     Reasoning Ability - The thinking and mental ability of the applicants is put to test in this section much like it is in other entrance exams. Having a sharp presence of mind while solving this section can lead to better and improved performance. This section is one of the tougher sections in the exam which requires the applicant to be thorough with all the topics. Time management is one of the most common issues that applicants face in the section so it is advised that the applicants must practice mock papers with a timer to be certain of their time management skills.
