Gate Exam Pattern
for Electronics and Communication Engineering [ECE]
In the GATE 2023 exam,
you will be asked questions about General Aptitude (GA) and the selected subject
(Electronics and Communication Engineering) of the
candidate. A total of 65 questions will be asked in the GATE 2023 exam
paper, out of which 10 questions will be from General Aptitude
(GA) and 55 questions from the Electronics and Communication Engineering and Engineering
Mathematics subject. The GATE Exam 2023 will consist of
General Ability 15 Marks, Engineering Mathematics 13 Marks,
and Electronics and Communication Engineering Subject
72 Marks,
and the complete paper will be of 100 marks. The GATE Electronics and Communication Engineering exam
will be of 3-hour duration. The questions in the GATE
exam will be worth one or two marks.

Negative Marking:
There will be negative marking for
the wrong answer chosen in the MCQs. For 1-mark MCQs, 1/3 of a
mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Similarly, for 2-mark
MCQs, 2/3 marks will be deducted for wrong answers. There is no
negative marking for wrong answers to an MSQ or NAT question.
GATE General Aptitude (GA) Syllabus 2023 [Common for All Paper Branch]
GATE General Aptitude (GA) is made
up of four sections. In General Aptitude, questions will be asked from 4
sections: Verbal Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, Analytical Aptitude, and
Spatial Aptitude. 10 questions will be
asked from General Aptitude (GA), which will be of 15 marks. The general
